LeaseCon/TurnCon 2025
December 8 @ 2:00 pm – December 9 @ 3:55 pm

Student Housing Business and the InterFace Conference Group are pleased to announce the 7th annual LeaseCon/TurnCon conference will be held December 8-9 in Charlotte at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown.
This event will once again bring together everyone involved in the leasing, marketing and turn process, from property-level leasing reps and managers to corporate execs, as well as the many consultants, service providers and vendors allied to the space. The agenda will include a combination of roundtables, small interactive discussions, panel sessions and networking.
The conference will open with ValuePlus roundtables, a special presentation, regional leasing roundtables and an opening networking reception on the late afternoon of Monday, December 8th. There will be eight panel discussions as well as a group of interactive discussions on Tuesday, December 9th.
Topics for discussion include where rental rates and occupancy will go for the 2026-2027 academic year; what strategies owners and operators are employing in terms of renewals; an update on where the current trendline is in regards to centralized leasing and management; international students—are they back? will they come back? how AI is impacting leasing and marketing; what social media platforms are currently in vogue; what different strategies and tactics will be needed to market to GenAlpha; brands and branding; the latest on what is happening with industry data; turn innovations; reputation management; the impact of furniture and interior design on leasing and marketing, and new technologies impacting leasing and marketing.
“After a lot of hand-wringing and angst the student housing industry did pretty well in terms of occupancy and rental rates for the 2025-2026 academic year,” said Richard Kelley, publisher of Student Housing Business. “What’s the forecast for 2026-2027 is open to question and we’ll debate and discuss that in earnest—along with many other topics—at LeaseCon/TurnCon in December. There is a lot to talk about on the leasing and marketing side, and plenty to discuss on the turn side of things, too.”
